Our Respite Relief Service provides temporary, compassionate care for individuals with special needs, disabilities, or chronic conditions, giving primary caregivers a much-needed break. Whether you need service provided for one day, or over multiple visits, our trained staff ensures continuity of care in your home!  This allows caregivers to recharge with peace of mind.  

3 hour minimum appointment is required for all services.

Our Companionship Care Service is designed to provide emotional support, social interaction, and meaningful engagement for all individuals, including those who may feel isolated or lonely. Whether it's sharing a conversation, going for a walk, or enjoying a favourite hobby together, our compassionate caregivers are there to brighten each day and promote overall well-being.  

3 hour minimum appointment is required for all services.

Our Home Care Assistance service supports daily living by helping with tasks like meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, and more. We’re here to make home life easier, safer, and more comfortable—so clients can maintain independence and enjoy the comfort of their own space.

Her journey began in the most special way—through a deep friendship with her childhood best friend, who was 62 years older than her. That rare and beautiful bond shaped her love and respect for older generations, inspiring years of volunteering, visiting, and advocating for seniors.

April firmly believes that every senior deserves companionship, care, and dignity. But her mission goes beyond that–she believes everyone, regardless of age or circumstance, should have access to care, compassion, and the honor they deserve. No one should feel alone, and their wisdom and life stories should be cherished.

That’s why she was inspired to start this company–to create a caring community where seniors and individuals in need feel valued, supported, and celebrated every day.

Rock Solid Respite Care is a home respite care agency that provides compassionate and reliable care to all individuals in need. This is done in the comfort of our clients' own homes.

We do not provide health care services.

We specialize in:

Every service is tailored to meet the unique needs of each person we support. 

All Rock Solid Respite Care caregivers are carefully screened (including a Vulnerable Sector police check), background checked, and trained to provide high-quality care that meets our clients' unique needs. 

We provide personalized in-home care and respite services for:

  • Seniors who want to remain safely and independently at home
  • Family caregivers who need support, time off, or peace of mind
  • Individuals recovering from illness or surgery who need short-term assistance


Our services are ideal for people who may feel lonely, need extra social interaction, or require non-medical assistance. 

Whether living independently or with family, we bring warmth and support to their lives.

No, we are not a medical or home healthcare provider. We focus on companionship and emotional support, offering non-medical assistance that improves the quality of life for all. 

We offer flexible scheduling to suit your needs. Visits can be arranged on a one-time, weekly, or regular basis—whatever works best for you and your loved one.

We are currently operating in many areas across Nova Scotia. We have plans to expand into Ontario soon!

We are actively adding new staff to our team to expand to more provinces soon!

We take the time to build trust and meaningful relationships with those we support. 

All staff working for our company must provide a clean criminal record check and references, and they must complete all mandatory training before going into any homes for the first time.

We complete check ins regularly with our staff and our clients in order to ensure client satisfaction. If you are not happy with the provider coming into your home, we will match you with a different provider.
